I

It’s been a few weeks, hasn’t it? Well, the wedding season has begun with this summer weather wedding right by the ocean. My apologies to everyone back home in -30 weather.

We had a few choices for a cover image. It was a really tough decision.

We’re getting ahead of ourselves, though. The day begins at a leisurely 11am.

As always, I started with the ring photos. This was a special one indeed, as the ring box was a heirloom from the groom’s grandfather. Here’s a closer look at the ring. Lovely, isn’t it?

The venue was easy to shoot in – they were in the Platinum area of the resort, which means big courtyards and massive halls. I was spoilt!

Over at the guy’s hotel room, they were dressing fancy and popping champagne. I love the colour scheme – a deep burgundy with faded sky blue for the shirts.

Over at the girls, they applied finishing touches to makeup and hair, just before the dress.

And just like that, our beautiful bride was ready for her first look. Well, as ready as you can be minutes before seeing the man you’re going to marry.

He was waiting outside on the boardwalk.

It was pretty gosh darn emotional. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house. She tapped him on the should, and he turned around. Then the hugged for a really long time.

A congratulatory ankle rub, and we were ready for some formals! You can feel the love.

And then, a few more formals before it was time to head to the ceremony.

The venue looks like something right out of a magazine. The vows were thoughtful and full of heart. Helpful people shared their tissues, everyone needed them.

Then, time for some celebration. Champagne, a seaweed fight, and flowers tossed into the air!

The meticulous detail in the decorating was absolutely mind blowing. It really did look like a fantasy tropical resort.

However, the sun was setting. It was time for our sneak way.

The speeches were the third round of wet-eye nostalgia mixed with laughs from funny and embarrassing childhood stories.

It’s a good day to be a Dad.

And such a hearty thank you to the staff – I’ve been to paid bars that had longer lineups. They kept the lineups short and mood light. Along with the amazing DJ, They really went above and beyond.

And I’m afraid this is where I’ll have to leave you. The party went on into the night, and many shenanigans were had.

But this is where I leave you. This was a huge sampler – almost 50 photos! But the photos won’t be ready for another three weeks, roughly. This is just some of my favourite photos from the day, the signature day-after-the-day sampler.

If you’d like to keep a picture, even on mobile, just click it and it will open in a separate window. You can save it from there.

Thank you for reading this far. I put a lot of time and work into these sneak peeks so it’s great that you’ve taken the time to read all this!
