I showed up at Matthew’s place and the guys were mid-chaos, doing what guys do while getting ready — which is mostly standing around looking slightly confused about ties. Matthew, though, had a secret. He opened his jacket and there it was: the lining was custom printed with Émie’s favourite flowers. The tie matched. So did the cufflinks. This man came prepared. This was the start of many surprises yesterday.
