September is one of my favourite months to photograph. It’s a little cooler, and it’s apple picking season. That’s a big deal for Kelowna, where we have apple orchards all along Belgo and Gardner Road.

That’s not where we start our day, though. We begin at the Manteo, a picturesque old resort by the lake. Some sun-dried driftwood has found a home right on the shore, and that’s where we begin with our details.

And of course these flowers, with an added touch from Mom.

Our dress is unique. You’ll see why in a bit, but for now, details.

Hair was by the talented Jenna Johnson, from Blonde and Balayage. It was a cloudy day, and the parasailers were taking full advantage outside.

Before long, our bride was ready for her first look.

And she ran right up to him for the first look….

The ceremony was beautiful. A close, intimate affair with family and friends.

And then, my favourite time. Formals with me, this beautiful bride, and him. There’s orchards all along this road, and I had to take full advantage.

Unfortunately, this is where I’ll have to leave you. This is a fairly large sampler, at 50 photos. There’s more coming, though, in about two weeks. If you’d like to be notified when the album is ready to share, click here.

If you’d like to save any of these photos, you can simple long-press them on mobile, or right click them on computer, and it should be straightforward from there.

We had the best mix. Some darker photos from the impending rain, the gold tones when the sun broke right through, and this beautiful ombred dress. Even a few birds made an appearance.
